ENTRY DETAILS
12” of Sin: ‘So Much Art You Can Barely Fit It All In’ is a juried show of sophisticated, intelligent, and clever art sponsored by Sin City Gallery, Las Vegas. This competition is an extension of the commitment of Sin City Gallery to promote sophisticated, visceral and thought-provoking artists who challenge and inspire the viewer to confront established norms morally, artistically and spiritually. The art is presented to encourage the patrons to celebrate as an expression of the whole person through the contemplation of artistic expression in form, color and structure. Sin City Gallery is known for creating art experiences that cause the viewers to think with their senses and feel with their minds. No dimension on any medium can exceed 12 inches.
ELIGIBILITY
National and international artists 18 years and older may submit a maximum of three works completed within the last three years and cannot have won any other show sanctioned by an international, national, or regional body. (A fourth entry may be included free of charge prior to September 15, 2011.)
AWARDS
25 Finalists will be invited for the physical exhibition and sale at Sin City Gallery’s 12” of Sin show for the month of February 2012. The Best in Show Winner will be announced at the show’s opening reception in February 2012. The Best in Show Winner will receive a solo exhibition at Sin City Gallery in Las Vegas for the month of January 2013 including travel and lodging for his/her solo show.
The Best in Show’s solo exhibition and the 25 Finalists will be featured in a published book by Sin City Gallery and available for sale in February 2013. Each artist featured in the book will receive a free complimentary copy.
The Best in Show, the 25 Finalists and a select number of artists who submit to 12″ of Sin competition will be invited to list their artwork for sale on the 12ofsin.com website.
FEES
A non-refundable fee of $12 for each submission (up to three total) must accompany every artwork submission. Payment for mailed and hand-delivered submissions can be made by credit card or check. Checks are to be made payable to: Sin City Gallery. All online submission payments must be made by debit/credit card through Paypal. All submissions must be completed and received by 10/31/11. Payment of this fee does not guarantee that any/all artworks submitted for jurying will be included in this competition’s exhibition.
REQUIREMENTS (see Rules for more details)
1. All works of art entered must be available for physical exhibition and sale at Sin City Gallery in February 2012.
2. Artist is responsible for shipment of all art to and from the gallery for physical exhibition and sale.
3. Any and all submissions may be chosen and must be available for marketing and publication purposes.
4. All mail-in applications, inclusive of submission fees, must be received no later than 10/31/11.
5. Entries will not be returned, so please, do not submit original artworks until notified by Sin City Gallery.
EMAILED ENTRIES
Image/Video Submissions will be emailed to entry@12ofsin.com. All entries must include a completed entry form, as well as the following:
1. Images must be in JPG format. All images must reflect original artwork submitted.
2. Maximum suggested file size 1MB per image (suggested resolution 300dpi)
3. Filename instructions: Last name_First Name_Entry Title_Entry#.jpg
(ie. Smith_David_SINFUL_1.jpg)
4. Entry fee MUST be included as complete CC# information or Paypal Confirmation Number.
5. Emailed or mailed entries will NOT be accepted without proof of payment.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
All major Debit and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) accepted. All on-line transactions will be paid using Paypal. There is a small processing fee added to each payment made online. There will be no further fees for this competition after your entry fees have been paid.
We also accept checks (personal and business), money order, and all of the above forms of payment with the mail-in application as well. All mail-in applications must accompany the entrants’ full billing address and phone number as required on both the entry and credit card approval forms, and must have an original signature of the applicant. Please do not mail cash, unless sent by registered mail with signature confirmation. We recommend you purchase signature and delivery confirmation for all of your mailing to us. Sin City Gallery cannot be held responsible for application forms and payments lost in the mail.
For mail-in applications, all checks must be made payable to: Sin City Gallery. International entrants may pay fees by credit cards, international money order, money transfers or a check in U.S. funds drafted from a U.S. bank. For all money transfer transactions such as a bank transfer or Western Union, please contact us to make arrangements. Entries will not be considered accepted until payments have posted and cleared.
DEADLINE OF ENTRIES
All entries must be submitted and received by no later than 10/31/11.
SELECTED WORKS
Selected invited artworks must be delivered ready to hang/display at Sin City Gallery by 01/15/2012. Artworks considered unsuitable for hanging/presentation will be refused. Curatorial staff reserves the right to refuse an artwork that is misrepresented through documentation or is not the piece selected by jurors.
SALES
Sin City Gallery receives a 50% commission, after tax, from all works of art designated for sale. Clark County Nevada Sales Tax is 8.1%.
SHIPPING AND INSURANCE
By submitting artwork for consideration for the 12” of Sin: ‘So Much Art You Can Barely Fit It All In’ 2012 Juried Art Show, the Artist acknowledges and accepts the following stated terms:
1. The exhibiting Artist is responsible for all applicable charges related to the preparation, packaging, insuring, and shipping/delivery of artwork to and from the gallery.
2. The Artist assumes all responsibility and holds in City Gallery harmless for any damages incurred during shipping.
3. Artist may choose preferred art shipper.
4. Artist agrees to hold Sin City Gallery harmless and waive all claims or causes of action against the gallery, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers for any and all damages, loss, or injury caused to any person or person’s personal property arising from or relating to the exhibition of Artist’s artwork at the Sin City Gallery or by the Artist or persons affiliated with the Artist.

COPYRIGHTS
Important: All artists shall be in possession of ownership and copyright of the submitted artwork(s), or have signed document(s) granting permission from the copyright holder, and have no legal objection to Sin City Gallery publishing the selected image(s) in printed or electronic format. Sin City Gallery is not responsible for false copyright claims. No other rights, print, electronic or otherwise are granted to Sin City Gallery. However, Sin City Gallery reserves the right to use selected images in the gallery’s promotions and marketing.
All copyright ownership stays with the artist for this publication and in no way will your professional integrity as image owners be compromised. We may wish to use selected images for the promotion of the art book in the press and media, and selected events promoting the competition and book; however no works will be printed on any other literature for sale other than the book. By submitting the application form you grant permission for display and sale at the price you set. (See Rules)
